Jassy is D&D Director!

A year ago, I decided to forgo leadership positions in uni.
This year, I decided to take a leap of faith and go for it.

Being a pageant contestant last year had already sparked a passion for D&D in me.

But, I did not go run to be D&D director last year because :
1) I wanted to get my studies on the right track.
2) I did not to forgo me relationship with baby.
3) I am not confident enough of getting the post.

And so, I decided that I’ll join the D&D committee last year to find out more about the ‘operations’ of it.

Hence, 2 weeks ago, I submitted my application to be in the 28th SCMC.

The past week went by in a flash.
We spent 3 nights on internal elections.
Tuesday night started at 8pm, ended on Wednesday and 3am.
Wednesday night started at 8pm, ended on Thursday 6am.
Thursday night started at 8pm, ended on Friday morning at 730am.

Wednesday and Thursday were my free days.
I was able to recharge on Wednesday.

As for Thursday, I was packed with some duties and so was awake from 9am on Thursday till 12midnight on Friday.

Yes, the internal elections is a gruelling process.
Something has to be done about it.
However, I believe that it is this process that helps gel us together.
And, I believe it is the first hurdle we cross together – teaching us to stay together as one, and that we need to support each other in the coming year.

Oh yes, I ran for SCMC this year not because :
1) My studies are on the right track.
2) I am forgoing my relationship with baby.

Words can’t explain why I ran for SCMC this year, especially the post of D&D Director.
But one thing’s for sure, the road ahead’s not gonna be easy…

“Winners don’t quit. Quitters don’t win.”
